Catholic Church Mission in Sevastopol

Sevastopol, previously an ancient Greek city called Chersonesus, a place of exile and martyrdom of two Popes - St. Clement I and St. Martin I.

Nowadays, it is the main port of the Russian Navy on the Black Sea Shore.

The Catholic church building of St. Clement I in Sevastopol was closed by the Communists in 1936, the whole clergy were shot and the church was rebuilt into a movie theater.

Modernists lays from the Vatican-II-Church claim this building nowadays. However, in 2019 traditional Catholics of Sevastopol created their own parish of St. Clement I (the Holy Masses take place in a private chapel in the historical center of Sevastopol).

One True Catholic Faith, one God in one Holy Communion united on the land of the ancient Greek Chersonesos in Crimea: priest Alexander Kryssov (from the Russian "orthodox" non-Catholic nation), Altar server  Dmitry Mayevsky (from the Jewish non-Catholic nation), warden of the parish Shamil Baykov (from the Tatar Islamic non-Catholic nation).
